Minsky’s Pizza recently celebrated National Calzone Day in a big way. This national holiday is celebrated each year on November 1st – and was actually created by Minsky’s! As the founders of National Calzone Day, we thought it only appropriate to dedicate more than one day to our delicious calzones – we celebrated for an entire weekend!
During the weekend of calzone celebration when Gourmet Calzones were 25% off, Minsky’s calzone lovers had the chance to win FREE Minsky’s Calzones for a year! All they had to do was post a selfie on any social media platform with their calzone and use the hashtag #MinskysCalzoneDay24. Minsky’s collected all the eligible entries and drew randomly for a winner.
Minsky’s would like to congratulate the 2024 winner: Leah Bond! Leah snapped a selfie with her calzone at our Lenexa location and and posted it on Instagram. “Calzones are usually my meal of choice, so National Calzone Day was the perfect time to snap a selfie!” said Leah.

This past week Minsky’s was happy to present Leah with a “VIP Calzone Card” redeemable for Free Minsky’s Calzones for an entire year! Leah frequently visits the Lenexa location so we invited her there to present her with the free Calzone card and, of course, her favorite Calzone, the Five Star Cheese! “I’ve been ordering from Minsky’s for years and since I am a vegetarian I usually order just mushrooms on wheat, and I love that you have salads and the beyond meat burgers but when I am in the mood for some comfort food, the five star cheese with original crust is my favorite Calzone”!
