Over 50 riders joined the Minsky’s Jacomo Bike Team this Memorial Day to honor and remember fallen teammate and former nuclear engineer for the Navy, Justin Leopold. The riders completed one of three course options beginning and ending at Minsky’s City Market location.

Ally, Luke and Cameron Leopold

The day was full of great biking followed by even better conversation including Minsky’s Pizza and Burlesque Lager. Thank you to all of the riders who came out and donated to help support Justin’s wife, Ally and their two boys Luke and Cameron!

“We appreciate Minsky’s for all of the continued support. With the help of Minsky’s, our team was able to raise $1,325 for Ally, Luke and Cameron. Our team can’t thank Minsky’s enough,” said Jacomo Bike teammate, Ross Given.

In honor of Justin, Ally and family members of Justin participated in the ride as well. “We don’t consider ourselves professional riders like most of the riders here today,” said one family member. “We decided to create our own 20-mile course and ride it at our own pace instead,” he continued.

Regardless of the route chosen, one thing is for certain: the day was full of smiles, memories and great pizza! Thank you to all of the riders who chose to spend their Memorial Day biking in memory of Justin. Minsky’s and the Jacomo Bike Team look forward to our next Ride for Justin!
