Maybe you’ve heard of “Officer Oliver: – a six-year-old boy from Overland Park who LOVES Minsky’s, and is determined to be a police officer.

Since getting his dream Christmas present of a pint-sized police uniform in 2015, he’s added a mini police motorcycle, a laser radar, handcuffs and even aviators to his ensemble. He now owns several police uniforms with actual badges from several Johnson County police departments. He gets to spend many days with real, sworn in officers.

Oliver has visited nursing homes, passing out flowers to the elderly. He monitors the streets in his neighborhood. He hosted a doughnut stand and invited local police to attend. He’s even written citations for citizens being “too darn cute.” Officer Oliver has made such an impact, in fact, that he has been featured on ABC World News with David Muir: America Strong, Good Morning America and was recently on the Steve Harvey show.

“He believes he`s a real police officer. Since he can’t work at the police station yet, this is his way of helping out the community,” mother, Brandi Davis said.

Minsky’s owner Gregg Johnson met Oliver at the Police Academy vest presentation when Minsky’s partnered with Fox 4 on their “Working for Blue” campaign. Oliver noted how much he loves Minsky’s Pizza, and soon, Oliver’s mother, Brandi Davis, reached out to help Oliver organize a special police luncheon with Minsky’s.

“We have supported First Responders for many years, and celebrate them each year on our anniversary. Teaming up with Officer Oliver for this event was the perfect fit,” said Minsky’s owner, Gregg Johnson.
