There’s no time like the present to thank those who are on the frontlines of the COIVD-19 crisis. That’s why we were so excited to be able to do something extra special to thank these courageous people!
As part of an ongoing effort to thank those essential workers who serve and protect the Kansas City community, Minsky’s delivered lunch to frontline workers at 20 local hospitals and other essential businesses throughout the Kansas City Metro area and Lawrence.
Frontline hospital staff and select essential businesses enjoyed personal “Mini Minsky’s” pizzas, along with salads and beverages, plus some candy for a sweet treat! The personal size Minis pizzas were chosen to help reinforce the idea of social distancing and safety during the COVID-19 crisis. Minsky’s Mini Pizzas are always available to order from our menu, and we encourage businesses to take advantage of the individually packed meals.
“We want to sincerely thank all of the frontline workers at our hospitals and other essential businesses for everything they’re doing to protect and care for our community during this devastating situation. We’re glad to be able to give a little something back to these brave, hardworking individuals,” said Gregg Johnson, founder and president of Minsky’s Pizza.
Minsky’s pizzas are topped with the freshest and highest quality ingredients, including mozzarella cheese from Wisconsin. Dairy Farmers of Wisconsin partnered with Minsky’s in this effort to thank hospital workers and other essential businesses in Kansas City.
“When Minsky’s reached out to us about this initiative, we were honored to support the project,” says Suzanne Fanning, Dairy Farmers of Wisconsin Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer. “It’s a simple way for Wisconsin dairy farmers and cheesemakers to join in and help say thank you to all the hospital workers across Kansas City who are keeping us safe during this challenging time.”
KCTV5 was one of the news stations that covered the story as well.
Minsky’s would also like to thank the following vendors for helping us make this happen:
- Lawrence Paper Company – special thanks for the generous pizza box donation
- Clorox
- Dart Container Company
- The Coca-Cola company
- Heinz
- Burke
- Mars
