Minsky’s Pizza recently celebrated National Calzone Day in a big way. This national holiday is celebrated each year on November 1st – and was actually created by Minsky’s! As the founders of National Calzone Day, we thought it only appropriate to dedicate more than one day to our delicious calzones – we celebrated almost a whole week!
During the week of calzone celebration, not only were our Gourmet Calzones 25% off, but fellow calzone lovers had the chance to win FREE Minsky’s Calzones for a year! All they had to do was post a selfie on any social media platform with their calzone and use the hashtag #MinskysCalzoneDay22. Minsky’s collected all the eligible entries and drew randomly for a winner.
Drum roll please, and the winner is: Joseph Curbow! That’s right, a big congratulations goes out to our National Calzone Day winner, Joe. He snapped a picture with his calzone and a couple of servers at Minsky’s in Prairie Village and posted it on Instagram. “I had to include some Minsky’s employees in my post, they’re a big part of why I get to enjoy these delicious calzones!” said Joe.

This past week Minsky’s was happy to present Joe with a “VIP Calzone Card” redeemable for Free Minsky’s Calzones for an entire year! “I’ve been ordering from Minsky’s for years and have always loved calzones,” said Joe. “The Chicken Cordon Bleu Calzone is my go-to, and I always ask for extra cheese!”
Joe lives just a few minutes away from the Minsky’s Prairie Village location – so we invited him to meet us there to present him with the Free Calzone Card and, of course, we whipped up his favorite – Minsky’s Chicken Cordon Bleu Calzone with extra cheese!
